On Thursday, the Atlanta Falcons open up as a 4.5-point underdog on the NFL odds in Baltimore against the Super Bowl champion Ravens, who put a 44-16 beating on Tampa Bay to open up their preseason campaign. The Falcons lost 34-10 to Cincinnati, and they’re aiming for a better performance across the board from their players. The 26th edition of UFC Fight Night goes off this Saturday in Boston, and it is the first broadcast for the UFC on Fox Sports 1. Chael Sonnen has lost his last two fights (title bouts against 205-pound champ Jon Jones and former 185-pound king Anderson Silva), and he’ll stay at 205 pounds for a tilt as a -140 favorite on the betting odds against former champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, who is coming off a loss to Alexander Gustafsson. In the co-main event, heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Travis Browne will slug it out, with Overeem entering as a -190 favorite.
