Tennis Odds: Nadal Emerges as Favorite Among Favorites at US Open

Now the 27-year-old Spaniard holds 1/1 odds of winning the US Open while Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray look to spoil his fun.

Having already won the French Open this summer and a 2010 US Open title previously in his career, seeing Nadal emerge as the favorite on the tennis moneyline is no big surprise. He entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed behind only 2011 winner Djokovic.

While he’ll inevitably be tested by whomever prevails out of the other side of the draw, the opponent that awaits him in the semifinals, Richard Gasquet is a far cry from the likes of Djokovic and Murray who will have to, presumably, square off against each other.

Even if Djokovic and Murray collide in the semifinals as they are expected to, the tennis betting community will have a tough time deciding who will have the upper hand. Murray won the tournament last year and is coming off an even more impressive victory at Wimbledon this summer.
