Delaware Senate Approves Sports Betting Bill

The Delaware Senate has passed a Sports Betting Bill by a 17-2 margin. The bill authorizes Delaware to become the only eastern state to offer sports betting.

In order to pass, the bill must still be signed by the state Governor Jack Markell, but he has indicated that he will sign.

Delaware, Montana, Nevada, and Oregon are the only U.S. states that are exempted from a federal law passed in 1992 that bans sports betting in the U.S.
