Baseball fans hoping for an MLB postseason to remember have gotten exactly that this fall and the result is a pair of classic semifinal matchups. With St. Louis and Los Angeles currently embroiled in a NLCS battle, not to mention Detroit and Boston neck and neck in the ALCS, betting on the World Series has never been so compelling.
While it’s hardly unheard of for the four finalists to have been four of the most attractive bet options available all season, it’s not every year where the LCS pairings are headlined by such renowned blockbuster contenders.
At various points through the 2013 season, all of the Tigers, Red Sox, Dodgers and Cardinals have looked like legitimate MLB futures favorites.
Can the Cards win their second title in three seasons? Can the Tigers bounce back from their World Series loss last fall? Perhaps the iconic Red Sox will add a third championship of the decade or the Dodgers will prove once and for all that the momentum they’ve been carrying all season isn’t about to wear off anytime soon.
With storylines aplenty, there’s nothing to do but pick a winner in the sportsbook, sit back and enjoy.
