AT FIRST GLANCE...there are games that always look 'Tasty' ATS in many publication as a 'Bullet' trend only to 'trap' upon further review. In 2006, The Director looked for the first time to clear the way for you to understand which team has the real 'ADVANTAGE' against the 'Trend'. Week 1, The Director is suggesting you 'HIT THE ROAD!':
'Can it be that the Philadelphia Eagles are 5-0 SU in its last 5 games versus the GREEN BAY PACKERS?' With so much pressure on McNabb on his return, he will welcome the sight of Favre, 72.7 Rating in 2006, and the Pack, who are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Openers. Having gone 3-1 ATS in their last four matchups with the Pack by allowing them an average of only 12.5 points, McNabb will look to continue their 3-0 run ATS in their last 3 matchups.
ADVANTAGE EAGLES
'Don't be fooled by the Pittsburgh Steelers 2-5-1 record ATS in their last 8 Road games.' Having had the summer to recover, Roethlisberger will look to capitalize on the CLEVELAND BROWNS, who have gone 0-1-6 versus the Steelers in their last 7 matchups. Having not lost ATS in Cleveland since 2000, the Steelers have outscored them by an average of 20 points in allowing only 10 points per game in their last 3 matchups in Cleveland Browns Stadium.
ADVANTAGE STEELERS
With Romo still hung over from their stinging playoff loss, the DALLAS COWBOYS will kickoff 2007 against Coughlin's NY Giants; the Cowboys 0-5-1 in their 6 matchups with the Giants in losing by an average of 5 points per game. Having lost as favorites in 3 of the last 4, Wade Phillips will have his hands full with a Giants team that is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 Road games.
ADVANTAGE NY GIANTS
With Chad Pennington going 3-6 SU as a Home Underdog since 2002, the NY JETS and their fans will not welcome the sight of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on Opening Day; the Patriots going 5-1 ATS in their last 6 matchups, and unbelievably 8-0 ATS in their last 8 trips to Jets Stadium. Outscoring the Jets by over 9 points a game in their last 5 games, and allowing an average of only 60 rushing yards per game in their 2 victories in 2006, even the addition of Jones, who powered up 99 yards in his loss with the Bears to the Pats will not be enough to turn the tide in this one.
ADVANTAGE PATRIOTS
