Online sportsbook donates $10,000 to fight fires Online Sports and Live Dealergaming website LazerWager (www.lazerwager.com) today as announced an additional $10,000 award in addition to the current reward now available to the person or persons who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the 27,000 acre Santiago fire that has destroyed at least 14 Orange County homes in the biggest US disaster since Hurricane Katrina.

"While we realize $10,000 is insignificant compared to the amount of overall reward money now available, we still wanted to contribute to the arrest and conviction of those involved and this is what we came up with." says Nina Pendleton, LazerWager spokesperson. The Orange County Fire Authority confirmed this morning that the reward offered for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the arson fire had risen to $285,000. The money comes from various law enforcement agencies and was bolstered by a $100,000 donation from radio station KFI-AM (640).

"While we canīt imagine what the displaced residents are going through, I do have a firsthand idea of the aftermath a disaster like this causes because I have seen Hurricane Katrina victims when I delivered 2 semi-truck loads of food, water and blankets to those affected in New Orleans" says Robert Evans, senior VP of marketing for LazerWager, formerly of Nine.com, which delivered the needed supplies to New Orleans residents. "In spite of all the hoopla surrounding online gaming right now, it is still a fun activity for many people who enjoy gambling online when they canīt make it to their nearest land based casino, so we feel that if we can help make a difference in matters like this we will" Evans concludes. "Since some of the people affected by the devastating fires directly or indirectly may be clients of ours because of a dramatic drop in active player counts from the Orange County area due to the fact that some 300,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes since the fires began" continues Ms. Pendleton.

"Addi tionally LazerWager is giving each displaced resident $15 to play in our casino" says Ms. Pendleton. "We hope that once they get back into their homes, resettled and getting on with their lives, they can enjoy an hour or 2 of some home based gaming entertainment to take their minds off of the situation for a little while and possibly win a few bucks too. Affected residents are urged to call our office at 866-375-4840 to apply" concludes Ms. Pendleton.
