Bingo is no longer a game played by old ladies in slippers or in converted community hall for pennies and cents. In recent years the game has undergone many changes for its popularity and status.
In the UK alone, bingo business by Bingo Halls are of $1.1 billion. Customs and Excise collect around £115 million in duty incurred by bingo each year.
In 1974 the bingo game industry was very much popular and it was the source of the mass entertainment. But its popularity decreased
with the advent of television and dramatically fall down until the end of the decade of 90's.
Some people says that the persons like bill Clinton, Damon Hill and
Jade Jagger contributed greatly towards the revival of the bingo game
but many people are disagree by this thought, they say that it is the
warm social environment of the game that seems to fire the hearts of the bingo player all over the world.
Internet revolution also has an affect on bingo game popularity. At
one click only bingo players are able to play bingo in their living
room. There is one most interesting fact is that from the beginning of
this game till now at the age of internet most of the players are female.
what can be fairly certain is that the popularity of bingo as its own entity is holding well and looks set to stay the course of time. At least for the time being anyway!
