MLB Online Betting Line: Yankees Back On Top In American League East
With the Toronto Blue Jays loading up for a World Series run, and the New York Yankees dealing with financial restrictions for the first time in along time, this was supposed to be the year the pinstripes struggled. However, the Yankees have put together five-straight wins to climb in to first place in the American League East, 9.5 games ahead of a Toronto Blue Jays’ team that is stuck in the AL East basement. New York will open a three-game set against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday before welcoming the Blue Jays to town for a three-game set this weekend, when they will really have the chance to add to Toronto’s misery while building their lead atop the AL East. The Baltimore Orioles are right behind the Yankees in the AL East, just one game back as they welcome the San Diego Padres and Tampa Bay Rays to town for five-straight at home to take them through the weekend, before next week’s three-game set against New York.
NBA Sports Betting Line: Durant Looks To Help Thunder Fight Back Versus Memphis
The Oklahoma City Thunder have dropped consecutive games to fall behind the Memphis Grizzlies two-games-to-one in their second-round series. Kevin Durant feels he has a lot more to give. The Thunder superstar spoke out following the game-three loss to Memphis, vowing that he will become more of a leader and do what it takes to get Oklahoma City past the Grizzlies and back in to the Western Conference Finals. Losing Russell Westbrook certainly hasn’t helped the Thunder, which will have to fight its way back with game five on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the New York Knicks will try and steal back home court advantage from the Indiana pacers when they clash in game four at Indiana on Tuesday, down two-games-to-one in the series, while the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs clash in game five Tuesday, with the series tied at two.
NHL Sportsbook Line: Penguins, Blackhawks Both Reach Second Round
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks are the consensus picks to reach the Stanley Cup Finals out of their respective conferences. There is still a while to go, but both teams are on track after advancing to the second round. The Penguins addressed their goaltending issues by making the move to Tomas Vokoun in goal instead of Marc- Andre Fleury, and it paid off as they won consecutive games with Vokoun posting a 1.41 goals against average and .957 save percentage. Vokoun will get the nod when Pittsburgh opens its second-round series against the Ottawa Senators, and if he can hold his own there is little reason to think the Penguins won’t advance. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks continued to get excellent goaltending from Corey Crawford, who posted a 1.32 goals against average and .950 save percentage as Chicago eliminated the Minnesota Wild in five games. The Blackhawks will take on the Detroit Red Wings in round two, after Detroit took out the second-seeded Anaheim Ducks in the first round.
PGA Online Sports Betting Line: Focus Shifts To Bryon Nelson Championship
The excitement around Tiger Woods’ win at the PLAYERS Championship this past weekend will be talked about for weeks, especially considering the way that he did it as he beat out Sergio Garcia in what was one of the more hyped tournaments of the year so far. This week’s HP Byron Nelson Championship won’t get nearly as much attention on a national stage, but with Jason Dufner back to defend his title and a number of quality contenders, it should be another exciting tournament.
